The Pregnancy Resource Center of Central KY offers a free pregnancy test to clients who request this service. The PRC is not a medical facility; and, consequently, the client shall administer and read the results of her own pregnancy test.

The result of the test is not a diagnosis. The client shall fill out the "Statement of Self-Administered Pregnancy Test" disclaimer form and will indicate the results of the test on the form. The client will receive a clear and thorough explanation of the disclaimer form prior to signing it.

The client will not receive from the Center volunteer an explanation of the pregnancy test procedure. The client will be shown the manufacturer's instruction sheet. The client will follow the pregnancy test instructions given by the manufacturer.

The PRC volunteer shall not interpret the pregnancy test results. The client shall be encouraged to see her physician for pregnancy verification.
